Description
At Plains Equipment Group we are differentiating ourselves through our people, our partnerships, and our performance.  We are looking for an experienced Location and Sales Manager to join our team in Crete.   In this position you will have responsibilities for providing location leadership and will assume accountability for departments working together to achieve location goals.  The Location Manager promotes customer satisfaction, employee satisfaction, and the achievement of location performance metrics.  In addition you will be responsible for direct sales. 

Primary responsibilities:
 
  • Responsible for the achievement of the goals and objectives for location
  • Develop, coach and support department managers and sales staff at assigned store  leveraging the district manager and the functional management team for support
  • Support Function Management initiatives
  • Coordinate and lead store events:  Monthly Employee Meetings, Biweekly Manager / Sales Meetings, Marketing Events & corresponding budgets
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and customer friendly facility.  Ensure retail image (Showroom and Lot) is well maintained and merchandised.
  • Responsible for the location’s complete goods inventory visibility, condition and marketability
  • Work with functional  and district managers to resolve customer complaints and issues at the local level
  • Ensure local compliance with organizational policies, processes and procedures
  • Ensure the company core values are well assimilated into the culture at assigned location
  • Monitor employee schedules and overtime and ensure alignment with  company direction
  • Maintain a safe work environment for employees.  Monitor safety plans, implement safety measures, and ensure safety is addressed regularly at monthly meetings
Requirements:
 
  • 5+ years of experience in sales or operations management
  • Experience with John Deere and competitive products
  • Ability to professionally lead and motivate others
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to analyze and interpret financial reports
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and Internet Functions
  • Associates degree or equivalent experience required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
