Description
At Plains Equipment Group we are differentiating ourselves through our people, our partnerships, and our performance. We are looking for a Wholesale Manager to join our team.  This position can be based out of any of our Nebraska locations.  In this position you will develop and execute wholesale plans and processes to maximize used equipment sales, profit margins and inventory turnover.


Responsibilities:
 
  • Find a Wholesale or retail solution for identified units
  • Track and compile wholesale auction results
  • Attend auctions via the internet to monitor auction prices
  • Communicate with wholesalers to determine values on some machines, i.e., high hour, salvage prices, etc.
  • Negotiate sale of used equipment to wholesalers or other dealers
  • Work with sales staff on sale of used equipment.
  • Participate in Sales, Management and Used Equipment Program review conference calls
  • Discuss candidates for wholesale or auction with the sales staff at the respective locations
 
 
Skills & Qualifications:
  • 5+ years wholesale experience
  • 3+ years equipment sales experience preferred
  • Familiar with John Deere and competitive products
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to use standard desktop load applications such as Microsoft Office and internet functions
  • Ability to analyze and interpret internal reports
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
