Description
Plains Equipment Group, a leading and growing John Deere dealership is looking for a Service Manager for our Gretna, NE location.  Will direct service operations to provide superior quality service and customer satisfaction.  Will hire and develop technicians, implement efficient and effective processes and standards, and continue to grow service sales.

In this job you will:
 
  • Communicate, enforce, and monitor effective Service Department processes and standards to ensure internal and external customer satisfaction as well as department efficiency
  • Facilitate a Customer Satisfaction Program to enhance and maintain customer relationships
  • Hire, train and develop technicians
  • Schedule and assign jobs and work areas to employees in the Service Department according to their skills and knowledge
  • Grow Service Department and increase shop demand
  • Execute Service Department marketing plan and monitor monthly to ensure achievement of departmental goals
  • Review work orders for completeness and accuracy prior to customer billing
  • Ensure all departmental tools, equipment, and vehicles are in good working order
 
Experience, Education, Skills and Knowledge Required:
 
 
  • 5+ years of experience with John Deere and competitive products
  • Ability to professionally lead and motivate others; prior management experience preferred
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong written communication skills
  • Ability to analyze and interpret financial reports
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and Internet Functions
  • Associates degree or equivalent experience required
