Plains Equipment Group, a leading and growing John Deere dealership is looking for a Self Propelled Forage Harvester Specialist.  This position can be located at any one of our 15 dealership locations.  In this role you will grow the Self Propelled Forage Harvester business for Plains Equipment Group in Nebraska and the surround states.  You will establish Plains Equipment Group as the go to dealer for their complete Self Propelled Forage Harvester business needs.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Direct sales of Self Propelled Forage Harvester
• Assist other Sales Representative with Self Propelled Forage Harvester deals as need.
• Assisting other dealers with Self Propelled Forage Harvester orders as the JD Self Propelled Forage Harvester Pro Dealer in the state of Nebraska
• Monitoring inventory levels and making recommendations to management
• Staying up to speed on competitive products and keep management informed of changes.
• Growing the Self Propelled Forage Harvester business, lead the planning, coordinating and hosting seasonally training events.
• Complete all paperwork for own sales and other dealer sales, keeping in compliance
• Sell machinery and sprayer equipment to customers in defined sales area
• Maintain current product knowledge on features and benefits of all equipment
• Collect and maintain customer information in assigned territory
• Plan, organize and conduct new equipment field demonstrations on an annual bases
• Monitor customer business activities and competitive business activity / products
• Maintain current knowledge of financing options to assist customers with securing the purchase of new and used goods
• Attend sales training events/seminars
• Maintain assigned company vehicles and equipment

Requirements:
 

• Experience with Self Propelled Forage Harvester equipment and competitive products or have factory background  preferred
• 5 years of operational or direct Self Propelled Forage Harvester Sales experience
• Associates degree or equivalent experience required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Strong problem solving and analysis skills
• Previous equipment sales experience preferred
• Knowledge of agricultural equipment and farming or operational practices preferred
• Ability to use standard desktop load applications such as Microsoft Office and internet functions
• Ability to work flexible hours
• Excellent customer relationship skills
